      <image:title>Richh Frank - Artist Bio</image:title>
<image:caption>Elijah Gause was born in Louisville the Midwest of the United States of America in 1994. Having grown up in the inner city projects most of his life and becoming fatherless at the age of nine his outlook on life changed dramatically. Throughout his life, Elijah has struggled with expressing feelings and words, naturally he was drawn to art. The interest was cultivated during his preteen years and further developed when he opted to take on a Bachelors Degree in Art. After dropping out of college, Elijah delved even more into his practice of art by studying Basquiat and developing how to paint images that depict social injustice. The paintings, that Elijah create are only part of the narrative. He uses the practice of storytelling by pasting images/newspaper that are hidden within the viewers eye and placing words/sentences a certain way throughout the paintings. He even goes as far as to painting over things in a destructive way to demonstrate the chaos in the world. It is a collaboration between the artist and past/present history. Elijah cherishes this connection with being a piece of that history. He feels that the artistic exchange between the past and the present opens up many opportunities for the future. Elijah was selected to paint in the Kentucky Derby Festival hosted by Norton’s Hospital (2022), he has curated 3 of his own art shows; Frank’s Collection I (2021), Frank’s Collection II (2022), On The Run (2022), and has work exhibited in a vegan restaurant in Louisville as well as a poetry club in Atlanta. Elijah lives and works in the heart of Downtown Louisville, surrounded by historical buildings and restaurants.</image:caption>

<image:caption>This is a 1/2 work depicting a young jiggy American just trying to survive. The tic tac toe board in the background depicts there is no winner in life, we all lose in the end. The phrase Don’t Die Live is a tag I came up with while being depressed one day. Although life may seem hard at the time being, living is always an option; no matter if you’re poor or rich, you can always choose to live. This work is currently hanging on a wall in East Lansing, MI., in a downtown apartment looking over into Michigan. It was created August 17, 2019 as well, in a span of 5 hours with various materials including: newspaper from that date, acrylic paint, and a handheld hairdryer. While on the way home from Michigan, I totaled my car around 12 a.m. and chose to live. Live on.</image:caption>
